Tokidoki Eyeshadow

Alright ladies, today I have for you a product review from my recent Sephora haul. And the product of the day is a Tokidoki eyeshadow in the color Soya. Tokidoki is a Sephora exclusive line and, most unfortunately, they are being discontinued. Trust me, this is a major bummer. But, because they're being discontinued all their products are on mega clearance, like all these eyeshadows are $5 USD. So, if there's a Sephora near you, you should scoop up some of these products before they're gone. And now on to the review!

Disclaimer: I purchased this product with my own funds, I am not being paid or compensated by the company in question. My opinions are entirely my own.

The packaging on these products is so cute! I love how colorful and bold the design is, it's so fun. Love it.
And the actual product package is adorable too. And it's pretty durable, I'm not worried about breaking it as the plastic is quite thick and it stays closed so I don't have to worry about it popping open in my purse. The only thing that I don't like about the package is that the color on the package is not the same as the color of the actual product. But I don't find that to be a very big deal personally.
The inside of the packaging is kind of odd; it has a reflective surface on the inside of the lid, but it's most definitely not a mirror. It doesn't work well at all if you're trying to use it for a mirror, it's like distorted. It's not really a big thing to me as the shape would make it a rather useless mirror anyway, but I just don't get why they bothered to put a reflective surface there to begin with.
As you can see here, Soya is a yellow green shade with a little bit of shimmer. It's a great color for spring in my opinion, and the shimmer is pretty mellow. It's almost like a satin finish, so no glitter bomb craziness here. And the product swatched very nicely. It applied easily, it's really soft and creamy with decent pigmentation. I also didn't lose any product to fallout, so major bonus points there.
I applied the color lightly to my eyes and blended it out for a pretty wash of color. And I would like to say that I had no color fallout under my eyes, which is pretty rare for me when it comes to blues and greens, and the color blended out easily. Also, this eyeshadow lasts FOREVER! I forgot to take off my makeup before bed, and no joke my eyeshadow did not budge. It didn't even change in intensity.

So basically, this eyeshadow is fabulous. The color is gorgeous, it doesn't shed all over the place, and it lasts forever. This is a total win in my book, and I hope I can pick up some more of these products before they're gone. They're pretty well drugstore price and they're really nice. Go get some!!! haha, peer pressure...

Anyway, I'm rambling now, so it's time to close I think. I hope you guys enjoyed my review and I hope you have a chance to try these products before they're gone. And as always, I'd love to hear what you guys think about this review or how you feel about the Tokidoki line, so leave me a comment. I do my best to reply to all my comments as quickly as possible. Til next time!

  4. I love this color! I wouldn't be able to do it because green doesn't look particularly great on me but this is a great spring idea.

  9. It is such a shame that they discontinued the Tokidoki products. They are super cute! I never did get any of their single eyeshadows either!

    1. I don't think that they are unfortunately. These are sold exclusively through Sephora, and if memory serves Sephora doesn't sell in Lithuania. But you might be able to find some on ebay.
And thanks for the compliment, green is one of my colors. Goes with the red hair. :)

    2. Unfortunately green eyeshadows don't look good with green eyes... Mine are green... :/
And yes, I'm so happy that I get many cosmetic products from ebay those we don't have in LT :)

    3. Yeah, I lucked out with my eye color. They're green but they have flecks of amber that make it easier for me to wear green shadows. Gives it an earthy look.
Though I have noticed that people with true green eyes look great if they do a neutral shadow over the lid with a dark green accent through the crease.
And beauty swaps are a great way to get products from over seas as well. I think I'm going to host a swap after I get some more followers.
Also, this is kind of random, but what's your name? You're my most regular follower and I'd love to know a little more about you. :)
