Sephora Collection Long Lasting 12 HR Wear Eyeliner

Hello again! As promised, this is a review of one of the products from my recent Sephora haul. Sorry it took me so long to get around to these, but I was busy and got distracted. It happens. But my review today is on Sephora Collection Long Lasting 12 HR Wear Eyeliner. Now, I bought one of these liners months ago so I'm going to be reviewing both liners as they're the same brand but different colors. These eyeliners sell for $12 USD at Sephora.

Disclaimer: I purchased this product with my own funds, I am not being paid or compensated by the company in question. My opinions are entirely my own.

The product comes in standard liquid liner packaging, and it's in Sephora's standard black packaging with "Sephora" wrapped around the top of the container in silver writing. The applicator tip is sponge, not an actual brush, and it comes to a rather thin point. This applicator is really better suited to doing thick liner as it's not that thin through the tip. Though if you're really patient and have an amazingly steady hand you can get it pretty thin. This is fine by me, I really like thick dramatic eyeliner, and this works really well for that.
And swatches.. Glitter black swatched terribly. I mean wow, it's barely black. BUT there's a ton of silver micro glitter going on in there. My camera hates glitter, so it doesn't really show up well in the swatch, but there's a lot of it.
The black liner swatched much better than the glitter black, it is so black. I love this black liner. The formula for this liner is a little thicker than the glitter black formula, and it's a little easier to work with.
And here is Glitter Black on my eye. It looks much better on the eye than it does in the swatch. It's definitely a soft black, but it applies easily and looks quite nice.
The Black liner applies to the eye the same way it swatched on my arm. It's super pigmented and bold and I just adore it. It applies with ease and looks fabulous.

Both liners perform very well, and while I do wish the Glitter Black was a bit more black, I like them both quite a bit. And both liners have amazing staying power! On the package is says 12 HR Wear and they aren't kidding. Both liners last at least 12 hours on my eyes, though the Glitter Black does fade a little quicker than the Black.

Will I repurchase? Oh yeah, and I want to pick up some of the other colors as well. They have a decent little selection of colors for this liner, and I definitely want to try some of the color liners.
Would I recommend? Yup. This is a really nice liquid liner that applies easily, it's totally worth $12.

I hope you guys enjoyed my review here, there will be more up soon. If you've tried these liners you should let me know how you feel about them in the comments below. Til next time!

  2. It's very important to have a good quality black liner, especially if you use it often :) and the one with glitters also looks very nice :)

    1. That it is. I'm bummed that the black eyeliner is almost gone. When I went to Sephora I meant to pick up black and didn't realize it was glitter black until I got home.

  3. I wonder how the black and then glitter on top would do?

  6. Hey! I found your blog through the Brightside Beauty Blog Hop and I'm now following you via GFC & Bloglovin' (I prefer Bloglovin' as I don't have a Blogger blog myself)...

I actually think the glitter black swatched rather well. I mean, for a color that is supposed to be different than a pure "black", that's exactly what I would want in a glitter black color. Then, when I see it on your eye I think it looks gorgeous. Also, you obviously apply liquid liner to your upper lash line very well.

I never really buy Sephora brand products and I'm constantly fighting with any liquid liner I buy, so I might have to try this out. Well, actually, I don't fight with EVERY liquid liner as I have been pretty content with my Too Faced 3-Way Lash Lining Tool, but there is always room in my makeup case for another liquid liner that works well.

    1. I do really like the glitter black. Being that I'm a red head with pale skin, softer blacks look a little better on me. And I love liquid liners, I use them almost exclusively. I actually have an easier time using liquid liner than cream or pencil liners. And I'm a pretty big fan of Sephora Collection. Their prices aren't really high and their products are nice. These liners are probably my favorite Sephora product at the moment and they're only $12 a piece, which I like.
I've never tried the Too Faced liners, but I've heard really good things about that set. Almost picked it up a while back.

And thanks for following! I'll check out your blog for sure.

    1. Thanks! I'm so in love with liquid liner, it looks so great and the lines are so crisp. But it does take a lot of practice because it's so easy to mess up. I'll have to post a how-to for liquid liner.
